Perfect winter pairing?  Do I only need to choose one?  

Have you tried the Weltevrede Collections Chardonnay?  ChardoNAYNAY I hear you say…don’t dismay, this Chardonnay hits all the notes, fresh citrus with a very well integrated creamy oak finish, not too much and just enough.  Think roast chicken with country vegetables with this one. 

If you are more inclined to the redder side of life you can try the Chadonnay’s big brother, Weltevrede Collections (www.capewinecrafters.com) Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has all the blackcurrant and ceder notes you could ask for, and excellent local example of this grape variety.  Try this with a raspberry chocolate brownie.
